Parent Guidance & Coaching

Support for Parents Navigating Addiction and Failure-to-Launch

When a child is struggling with addiction or cannot seem to launch into adult life, parents are often left overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure what to do next. Most families are doing everything they can, but without guidance, love can unintentionally turn into enabling, rescuing, or patterns that keep everyone stuck.

This service is designed specifically for parents of teens, young adults, and adult children who are dealing with substance use, relapse cycles, or failure-to-launch behaviors.

Sessions are typically held once per week via Zoom, with in-person options available in Ventura County.

Our Parent Guidance & Coaching service exists to support you.

What This Service Focuses On

Understanding addiction and the patterns that drive it
Recognizing enabling vs. healthy support
Setting firm, loving boundaries and holding them
Improving communication and reducing conflict
Creating clear expectations and consistent consequences
Navigating relapse, manipulation, and emotional volatility
Protecting your own mental and emotional health
Building a long-term family strategy

This is not therapy.

This is practical guidance, coaching, and strategic support.

We work with parents to:

Regain clarity, confidence, and calm
Stop reacting emotionally and start responding strategically
Build consistency and unity within the family
Reduce chaos and constant crisis management
Strengthen the relationship without enabling
